Conference on EU-funded projects on the protection of public spaces

On 25 March 2021, the Commission (DG HOME) will organise a conference on new projects aiming to enhance the protection of public spaces against terrorist threats. These projects will soon launch with financing from the Internal Security Fund – Police, following a 20 million EUR call for project proposals. The projects involve different types of public spaces, including places of worship, public transport and major sports venues. The Commission will bring together project representatives to explain the envisaged actions and expected outcomes to the members of the EU Forum on the protection of public spaces and the general public.
