Ms Jensen already participated in the 9th Annual Forum of the corridor Polish regions in 2022, in Gdynia, when the 100th anniversary of this port was also celebrated. The 10th Annual Forum took place in Budapest in autumn 2023, where the relevance of promoting interconnectivity between the Polish ports in the Baltic and the Hungarian landlocked regions was also discussed in light of the possible extension of the Corridor to Hungary, foreseen in the proposal of the revised TEN-T Regulation. The 11th Annual Forum will be organised in Koper, and it will be an occasion to discuss the role of the Mediterranean basin in the framework of the current unstable geopolitical situation, marked by the persisting Ukraine and Gaza conflicts and the Red Sea crisis. It will also represent an opportunity to discuss the role of the Baltic Sea and Adriatic Sea ports in developing the BSAS ETC.

Poland involves about 40% of the BSAS ETC infrastructure, crossing 13 regions all over the country. The Annual Forum of the Corridor Polish Region is a unique opportunity for the European Coordinator to meet and visit Corridor regions, urban and transport nodes along the Corridor and exchange with stakeholders on the importance of the BSAS ETC for the development of international cross-border cooperation, even beyond the boundaries of the countries directly crossed by the Corridor, with stakeholders from Scandinavian countries in the Baltic Sea and Southeastern European countries in the Mediterranean basin.
