Commission and WHO launch landmark digital health initiative to strengthen global health security
On 5 June 2023, the European Commission and the World Health Organization (WHO) announced the launch of a landmark digital health partnership. WHO will take up the European Union (EU) system of digital COVID-19 certification to establish a global system that will help facilitate global mobility and protect citizens across the world from on-going and future health threats. This is the first building block of the WHO Global Digital Health Certification Network (GDHCN) that will develop a wide range of digital products to deliver better health for all.

DigitalHealthUptake opens a Call for Twinnings - nearly €100,000 available to support digital health knowledge exchanges

The DigitalHealthUptake project has just launched its Call for Twinnings, offering a great opportunity for organisations to transform healthcare across Europe. From 13 June 2023 to 13 September 2023, interested parties can apply to be part of the nearly €100,000 available to support multiple twinning initiatives.

First annual summit of the Network of the European Digital Innovation Hubs
On 31 May 2023, the Commission organised the first annual summit for the Network of European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIHs), bringing together for the first time the EDIHs, policy makers, and public administrations to discuss common challenges and exchange best practice on how to assist SMEs in their digital transformation.
