After a very successful edition in Brussels in 2022, the annual semantic interoperability conference of the European Commission will take place in Madrid on the 18th of October, with SEMIC Pre-Conference Workshops on the 17th. This year’s central theme, ‘Interoperable Europe in the age of AI’, will set the stage for exploring the latest advancements in the interactions between artificial intelligence, interoperability and semantics.

Digital-Ready Policymaking will have a dedicated presence under the umbrella of the SEMIC Conference. On the 17th, a workshop focusing on 'AI in Digital-Ready Policy Design and Legal Drafting' will explore how tools powered by AI technologies can support policymakers in their digital-ready policy journey. Meanwhile, during the plenary session on the 18th, there will be discussions around "Digital-ready policymaking and Law as Code".
