In this edition of our Newsletter, we are excited to present a curated selection of news and events, including an exploration of modern software development within the German Administration, and insights from the Staff Working Document on Regulatory Sandboxes.

In the spotlight this September is our BLSI virtual breakfast event, entitled "Digital-Ready Drafting: Strategies and Considerations." Before that, in mid-September, the Hertie School's Digital Governance Research Colloquium will host an event examining AI's role within public sector bureaucracies. Furthermore, September also brings us “Building a Competitive, Digital and Green Europe”, an event dedicated to Europe's quest to reclaim global digital leadership. 

Early October takes us to Japan for the 18th annual meeting of the Internet Governance Forum, IGF 2023, accessible to participants worldwide through live streaming. The momentum continues with SEMIC 2023 & The SEMIC Pre-Conference Workshops, the annual semantic interoperability gathering organised by the European Commission.

Finally, in late November, COHUBICOL’s CRCL23: Computational ‘law’ on edge will be hosted in a hybrid format, both in Brussels and online. This conference will delve into the dynamic intersection of technology and law.
