Authentication to access CITnet applications as of 21 June - enabling of EU Login and renewal of CITnet passwords

As of 21 June, DIGIT will apply new measures to make access to CITnet applications (Confluence, Jira, Git, etc) more secure. You can already check the planned authentication measures that will affect each type of user and applications. This will help you to be prepared to proceed accordingly and avoid any issues when accessing CITnet applications as of 21 June.

date:  01/06/2021

If you access CITnet applications with an @ec.europa.eu or @ext.ec.europa.eu account:

  • to access JIRA, Confluence, Bamboo, Bitucket, Fisheye: no actions required
  • to access Git, Subversion, Nexus and SonarQube: you will receive a message asking you to create a new CITnet password. This will replace your current LDAP password (see how to)
  • to access SonarQube and Nexus: you will have to create a new CITnet password (see how to)

If you access CITnet applications without an @ec.europa.eu or @ext.ec.europa.eu account:

  • your CITnet User ID will change and you will have to use your EU Login account (you can already find your username in Butler, in your profile)
  • you will have to create a new password for your new account (see how to)
