Dear Partners,

This is an additional information message for checking your compatibility with the upgrade that will take place this year.   

Following the information provided by the Oracle team of the Data Center, relating to the Oracle database version releases, please note that COMREF will be UPGRADED to version 12.c. before the expiration of its current version support (Dec 2020) . We have started the analysis of the activities for the upgrade and in due course, we will communicate the major milestones.

Important information: The minimum Oracle version for enabling a dblink connection with COMREF in version 12.c will be 11.2.

Therefore the partners that use Oracle dblinks to communicate with COMREF will have to upgrade (at least to the minimum version indicated).
For partners who use Oracle XE we will provide information in due course.

However for version 11.2 the extended support ends on DEC2020, it will be up to each partner to decide which version will be used as long as it is 11.2 or higher.

In order to plan the upgrade avoiding that our clients experience incompatibilities, please provide us the following information by the end of the month:
1. The version of your Oracle database(s) connected to COMREF.
2. Where your database is hosted (locally or in the datacenter)
