The Council and the European Parliament have negotiated a common position on the Interoperable Act. As a result, after the formal approval of both institutions, the Interoperable Europe Act proposal can finally be transformed into EU law!

In the newly ratified EU budget of 2024, FOSSEPS had been approved by the European Parliament and the EU Council. FOSSEPS has been created to encourage European Public Services to cooperate on the subject of free and open source software for long term sustainability.
