We would like to inform you about a significant milestone in the Drupal community that may impact your website. As of 30 November 2023, Drupal 9 has reached its End of Life (EOL). This means that Drupal 9 will no longer receive official support or updates from the Drupal community. What Does Drupal 9 EOL Mean for You? Security Updates: Drupal 9 will no longer receive security updates. This leaves your website vulnerable to potential security risks and threats. Bug Fixes and Enhancements: Any issues or bugs that may arise in Drupal 9 will not be addressed by the community, and no new features or enhancements will be developed. End of Support on Corporate Pipelines: From 16 November 2023 CI will actively block Drupal 9 deliveries, a manual bypass is still possible on-demand with the business approval of a DIGIT.B1.004 official. From 1 December 2023, no deployment will be possible at all. From same date no Drupal 9 site can be considered as critical. Hosting: Drupal 9 sites hosting will be discontinued latest on 1 June 2024 (date might be anticipated in case of discovery of security vulnerabilities due to the lack of proper security fixes) with access to any remaining Drupal 9 sites restricted and allowed exclusively from EC network for final decommissioning procedure.
