Drupal projects in AWS infrastructure
date: 23/02/2023
Gradual implementation of the following change to the Drupal projects hosted in the AWS infrastructure:
- Increase of the CloudFront TTL from 0 to 5 minutes for all non-authenticated Dupal paths.
This is required in order to:
- Increase the overall security of the Drupal infrastructure (e.g. increased protection against DDoS attacks).
- Improve the overall performance of your project.
This will bring a 5 min cache to your website and will have the following impacts:
- As an editor, when you publish a content change, this will be available after maximum 5 minutes.
- As a webmaster/developer, your request to clear the cache (for one or multiple pages) will take effect only after maximum 5 minutes.
The change will be implemented in all acceptance environments on 27th of February to allow you the time to test your application with this new setup.

The change will be implemented in production from 27/03/2023 to 19/06/2023.
