With only one month to go to the Sharing & Reuse Conference 2019, taking place on 11th June in Bucharest, Romania, we are pleased to announce that several new speakers will be joining us on the day.

In the first session, high-level speakers will present and then discuss how open source is driving European governments towards achieving digitalisation goals set out in the Tallinn Declaration. The following presenters will  expand on national open source policies and strategies as well as the Commission’s renewal of its Open Source Software Strategy:

  • Fernando de PABLO MARTÍN, General Secretary of Digital Administration from the Spanish Ministry of Territorial Policy and Public Function
  • Alessandro RANELLUCCI, from Italian Digital Transformation Team
  • Petteri KIVIMÄKI, Chief Technology Officer at the Nordic Institute for Interoperability Solutions (NIIS)
  • Chrysanthi GIORTSOU, of the European Commission’s DG Informatics

One of the latest additions to the list of renowned and passionate speakers is Sebastian RAIBLE from the European Parliament (Policy Adviser, MEP Julia REDA). He will present the latest results of the EU FOSSA 2 initiative in the session “Coding with Citizens”. Sponsored by the European Parliament and executed by the European Commission, the Free and Open Source Software Audit (FOSSA) 2 project aims at improving the security of open source software in public institutions by collaborating directly with developers, security researchers, and hackers.
