RAN LOCAL When and how to intervene – specific case management (Milan, 13-14 November)
date: 12/12/2019
For instance, the process of individual case management should be divided into the following four sub-stages:
- information gathering and first analysis,
- in-depth analysis and action plan,
- implementation and monitoring of the action plan,
- when and how to stop a case.
For each stage, participants discussed the necessary elements and exchanged lessons learned. Some information shared by the participants included the benefits of performing risk assessment, the awareness of lacking information and the need for clear and transparent goals within the multi-agency team. Participants also mentioned the importance of investing in team members’ safety when working on sensitive cases.
They noted the importance of maintaining a connection between individual case management and other needs and interests of both the individual and partners.
