The 10th joint EAfA-ETF Seminar highlighted ten years of progress in apprenticeships. On 7–8 October 2025, over 80 participants from 29 countries gathered in Podgorica to exchange best practices and explore new opportunities for enhancing VET and work-based learning (WBL) across Europe and beyond.
EU social partners discussed the importance of fair wages, safe working environments, and meaningful learning experiences for apprentices. They underlined how crucial social dialogue is for developing inclusive and adaptive apprenticeship programmes.
Host country representatives from Montenegro reaffirmed their commitment to integrating practical learning into both VET education and WBL systems. The European Commission also officially welcomed Kosovo* and Ukraine as the 42nd and 43rd EAfA members, alongside six new pledging organisations.
