13 years of the Access City Award

Launched in 2010, the Access City Award aims to raise awareness of disability and promote accessibility initiatives in European cities with more than 50 000 inhabitants. The award is about ensuring equal access and participation for persons with disabilities. The initiative aims to encourage cities to inspire one another and share innovations and good practices. With over 750 applications received in its 13 years of activity, Spain, and Italy had sent in the most applications with 54 and 51 cities applying respectively.
