Traineeships: Commission evaluation analyses the impact of the European quality framework
The European Commission has published the evaluation of the 2014 Quality Framework for Traineeships, which assesses its implementation, contribution, and examines improvement possibilities. While most stakeholders consulted agree that the Framework is still applicable, they also highlighted that there is room for improvement in the application of the quality principles, including their monitoring and enforcement. According to the Commission Work Programme 2023, an update to the framework will be proposed later this year. The update will make a significant contribution to the European Year of Skills 2023, as well as give impetus to lifelong learning and activate people in the labour market.
