On 6 September, the European Commission proposed a standardised European Disability Card and an enhanced European Parking Card. The Commission’s proposal aims to make it easier for persons with disabilities to travel across the European Union. This Directive will enable persons with disabilities during short stays in another Member State to receive the same special conditions, preferential treatments, and parking rights as those enjoyed by people with recognised disability status in that Member State.
