EPIC has recently published two reports focusing on children and families within the EU.

Our latest research note showcases anti-bullying interventions from the practices collected and listed on the EPIC practice repository. This report sets out the evidence base and use of eleven anti-bullying practices with the aim of facilitating discussions on how to prevent and address bullying amongst children. Practices showcased include the KiVa Antibullying programme (which an evaluation in Finland has shown can reduce children’s anxiety and depression) and the Curriculum-based Anti-bullying programme in Greece (which strengthens the confidence of children bystanders to intervene in bullying incidents).

EPIC has recently launched its third annual thematic report which provides an overview of developments in child and family policy across the EU27 and UK in 2019. The report provides information on key trends in the provision of early childhood education and care, family leave and actions to improve work-life balance, social and income support for families, and children’s right to participation.

The EPIC team wishes all stakeholders a healthy, peaceful and happy festive season and a hopeful start to 2021.
