Stay tuned and keep an eye on the EMODnet website for more information on our presence at the UN Ocean Conference 2022.

Ocean Decade Ocean Observing Co-Design Workshop

The Ocean Observing Co-Design Programme will host an online Ocean Decade Co-Design Workshop on 7-9 June 2022 to kick-start the development of transformative co-design processes and to shape plans for advancing co-design projects. Teams will work on the development of co-design ‘exemplar’ projects, for example around providing the ocean information needed to national governments for carbon budgets, users of marine heatwave information, and improving the forecasting of hurricanes and tropical storms.

EU Green Week 2022 partner event - Digital solutions for a sustainable blue economy

Blue-Cloud is taking part in the EU Green Week with a Partner Event on 1 June 2022 at 15:00 CEST. Blue-Cloud will present three practical use cases from the international marine research community that were awarded at the "Decode the Ocean" Hackathon in February 2022. These applications are currently exploiting the Blue-Cloud platform to expand and improve digital solutions for a range of crucial challenges for a sustainable blue economy. EMODnet is a core marine data infrastructure contributing its technical expertise to Blue-Cloud and its data and data product services to digital applications for the blue economy, EU Green Deal and more.
