EMODnet will speak at the official launch of the European Catalogue of Sound Signatures on December 2, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM at the European Committee of the Regions (CoR) in Brussels. Join the International Association of Port Cities (AIVP) World Conference, 27-29 November in Lisbon, Portugal where global port cities and maritime professionals will gather to discuss the future of sustainable port operations. During the AIVP World Conference, Antonio Novellino (EMODnet Physics Coordinator) will present on EMODnet, highlighting the critical role of data sharing and collaboration in advancing maritime and port sustainability. The Baku Ocean Declaration has been issued ahead of the 29th United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Conference of the Parties (COP29), being held in Baku, Azerbaijan,11-22 November 2024. Join the 8th Ocean Best Practices System Workshop (OBPS WSVIII), taking place 14-18 October 2024 online, to explore innovative approaches and solutions for standardizing ocean observations and data management. The objective of the workshop is to facilitate the cross-cutting primary role of best practices in operational oceanography by promoting dialogues across science and technology. In the era of Digital Twins for the Ocean, the need of best practices is fundamental for a more interoperable and reliable use of ocean data, for the evolution of the worldwide observing network from the deep ocean to the coast and for dealing with complex forecasting systems.

EMODnet Geology is set to take part in the 37th International Geological Congress (IGC) in Busan, Republic of Korea, from August 25-31, 2024. EMODnet Geology will host a dedicated session focused on marine mapping, highlighting their latest standards and innovations in revealing Earth's seabed geology.
