Launch of the EU Energy Poverty Observatory

The EU Energy Poverty Observatory (EPOV) measures, monitors, and shares knowledge and best practices on energy poverty. During its launch on 29 January 2018, high-level stakeholders stressed the need to fight energy poverty. This EU policy priority aims at helping over 50 million households that are affected in the EU.

 
Showcasing innovation in the renovation of buildings

An innovative construction process that would accelerate the renovation of the building stock was among the 30 exhibitors at the EU Industry Day. The BERTIM project has developed prefabricated timber modules that are designed using special software, saving 50% of a building's energy consumption.
