The loan is backed by the European Fund for Strategic Investments (EFSI), the financial pillar of the Investment Plan for Europe, the Juncker Plan. It will support the planned construction of 2,580 homes over four years for 6,000 Ile-de-France residents. This first operation between the EIB and in'li marks an important step in the acceleration of construction of social housing in the region. Meanwhile on 10 March, the Ignitis Group borrowed €60 million from the EIB for its first wind farm project in Poland. The Lithuanian utility will carry out the project through its subsidiary Pomerania Wind Farm, building new onshore wind farms located near the Baltic coast in northern Poland that will have a combined capacity of up to 94 MW. The operation will help decarbonize the energy sector in Poland and improve the energy mix.
