Investment Plan: Juncker Plan reaches almost EUR 410 billion in triggered investment across the EU

Mauna Kea Technologies, inventor of Cellvizio®, the multidisciplinary probe-based and needle-based confocal laser endomicroscopy platform, and the European Investment Bank (EIB), announced the signing of a EUR 22.5 million loan agreement on 21 June, supported by the European Fund for Strategic Investments (EFSI), the heart of the Investment Plan for Europe, the Juncker Plan.

Mauna Kea Technologies, inventor of Cellvizio®, the multidisciplinary probe-based and needle-based confocal laser endomicroscopy platform, and the European Investment Bank (EIB), announced the signing of a EUR 22.5 million loan agreement on 21 June, supported by the European Fund for Strategic Investments (EFSI), the heart of the Investment Plan for Europe, the Juncker Plan. The European Investment Fund (EIF) announced on 20 June, that it is investing EUR 40m in Anthilia BIT III under the new investment programme for debt funds created within the Juncker Plan, called the “Private Credit Tailored for SMEs”. Anthilia BIT III is dedicated to Italian SMEs. With this new investment, it will dispose of around EUR 200 million, with a final closing target of EUR 350 million by 2020. In France, the EIB and Bpifrance signed an agreement on 18 June to finance Bpifrance’s SME accelerator program, while in Austria, more than 2,000 small businesses will benefit from new loans thanks to a deal signed on 14 June between the EIF and Austria's national promotional bank, Austria Wirtschaftsservice (aws). The agreement extends the existing COSME LGF agreement by two years to April 2021 and increases the guarantee volume to EUR 215 million. The Juncker Plan has reached almost EUR 410 billion in triggered investment across the EU. As of June 2019, the deals approved under the plan amount to EUR 75 billion in financing and are located in all 28 Member States.
