This year’s Brussels Economic Forum, #EUBEF19, will take place after the European elections, when EU citizens will have to opportunity to make choices about the Europe they want to build in the future. The BEF will hold debates around the following topics: “A new global order: inward of outward looking? “A new social contract for Europe?” and “A new kind of growth for Europe?”. Participants can attend in person or digitally by watching the live-streamed debates via the conference website and joining the Q&A’s via Sli.do. Moreover, an event app will include all important event documents as well as enable virtual networking, following exciting conversation threads on debate topics and much more. Participants will even be able to cast their votes in a ‘for and against’ debate between two influential speakers with contradictory views on basic income. The Forum, which will be held on 18 June, brings together European and international policymakers, opinion leaders, academics, representatives of civil society and business leaders to debate hot economic topics and share new perspectives on Europe's economic challenges.
