Public debate on the future of EU economic surveillance framework

date:  11/03/2020

Dear Subscriber,

The European Commission has launched a public debate on the future and the effectiveness of the EU economic surveillance framework, according to the communication adopted on 5 February 2020.

The start of a new political cycle in the Union is an opportune moment to assess the effectiveness of the current framework for economic and fiscal surveillance, especially the six-pack and two-pack reforms, for which the Commission is required to report on their application.

Take the opportunity to provide your views on the functioning of surveillance so far and on possible ways to enhance the effectiveness of the framework in delivering on its key objectives by participating here in the on-line survey by 30 June 2020.
