The European Economic and Social Committee will hold the 12th edition of its yearly youth event Your Europe, Your Say (YEYS) on 18-20 March 2021, on the topic of climate change, in the form of an online model COP (Conference of the Parties) in which more than 120 students and 35 teachers from 33 countries will take part.
In parallel, and in line with the organisation of a COP, the EESC will hold a public side event for young people on the morning of Saturday 20 March 2021 live on social media, entitled Designing Systemic Change. The event will bring together several young experts, activists and influencers to share their knowledge and expertise on climate change in the context of systemic change. During this event, young people from all over Europe will be invited to listen to the young experts and activists, but more importantly, to share their views, comments, questions on the changes needed to tackle the climate crisis. In addition to the discussions, which will take place in English to facilitate the exchange amongst participants, the audience will have the possibility to discover systemic change through art, as comments from the young audience will be turned into art.
