New funding opportunity – IAMC Annual Meeting 2023

The CCMI project supports modellers to attend conferences and workshops on climate change modelling. This year, funding support is available for a number of researchers to attend the Sixteenth IAMC Annual Meeting 2023 taking place during the week of November 14-16, 2023 at the Hilton Molino Stucky, Venice, Italy.

This financial support for this event can cover reasonable travel* and accommodation costs (for in-person attendance), and conference registration fees (for both in-person and online attendance). After the conference, modellers are asked to provide a mission report describing the main insights they gained at the conference.

The funding support aims to remove financial barriers for modellers that will otherwise struggle to attend specialised conferences. Applications from researchers from developing countries and early-stage researchers/ students are particularly encouraged.

(*) Choosing a greener mode of transport is highly encouraged. Please be conscious of the environmental impact of your travel when planning your journey and select lower-emission options where possible (e.g. trains should be preferred over planes; if flying is necessary, direct flights are preferable, etc.).
