Luisa F. Cabeza, Spain

Luisa is a professor at the University of Lleida in Spain, where she teaches on different engineering degrees, including the master’s in industrial engineering. She has been a coordinating lead author of one chapter of the IPCC’s 6th Assessment Report.

“I am sure that the planet will not collapse, but it will become more and more uncomfortable to live on. The call is therefore for hope, but also for immediate action. We need to act now. Europe is pushing most for immediate action on climate change mitigation, which I think is great, and we need to continue on that path. The European Climate Pact is one of the various initiatives helping to achieve Europe’s objectives, which should also be worldwide objectives.”
