The social media platform Facebook has joined the Climate Pact with a pledge to be net zero by 2050 as part of the Business Ambition for 1.5°C campaign. In 2020, the company recorded a 94% drop in emissions compared to 2017. Facebook also aims to run its European operations on 100% renewable energy by 2030.
