Léna is currently working on a Ph.D. at the University of Exeter, exploring collaborations between a conservation NGO and two indigenous communities in Peru for tropical forest preservation. She joined the Climate Pact as part of Generation Climate Europe.

“My inspiration to become Climate Pact Ambassador came during a course I took on food policy. I discovered the environmental impact of food production – it generates more than one third of greenhouse gas emissions. My first action was to organise an event to raise awareness about food waste. Together with a group of friends, I collected leftover food from markets and supermarkets at the end of the day, cooked it in the street and then gave it away for free.“
