New measures to reduce Europe’s emissions by 55% by 2030

Europe aims to become the first climate-neutral continent by 2050. To do this, EU countries have pledged to reduce emissions by at least 55% compared to 1990 levels by 2030. In July, the European Commission published a range of proposals to set the EU on a path to reach its 2030 climate target in a fair, cost-effective and competitive way.
