Peer parliament on green and fair energy

What can we do to make energy greener and fairer in Europe? That was the question that 25 people explored in a peer parliament in Brussels during European Sustainable Energy Week earlier this month. The discussion was led by Lorenzo Dello Sbarba and Stefano Cisternino, two Pact Ambassadors from Belgium.

The pair facilitated exchanges on how to reduce carbon emissions and fossil fuels, while making sure everyone has access to affordable and reliable energy.

A European Commission representative also joined the event and shared the Commission's plan to slash its own emissions by 35% by 2030.

Participants were encouraged to use the Pact’s quick-start tools to launch climate actions in their communities. These tools have already reached over 1,500 people across the EU.
