UEFA is preparing to deliver a climate-friendly EURO 2024 football competition as part of its 2020 European Climate Pact Pledge.  

But that’s not all they’re doing. Together with the European Commission, the organisation ran an advertising campaign consisting of two video spots to encourage supporters to save energy and protect the climate – in line with the goals of the European Green Deal. The spots included appearances by legends like Luís Figo, Gianluigi Buffon and French duo Delphine and Estelle Cascarino. They aired on TV, social media and stadium screens during UEFA’s 2021–22 and 2022–23 club and national team competitions.
