“It was very clear to me that the better footballer I became, the more attention I could bring to this issue [of climate change].”   

There was a time when Morten Thorsby considered quitting his dream career as a professional footballer to dedicate his time to climate activism. In the end, instead of hanging up his boots, Morten continued playing for his club in Germany while launching We Play Green – an organisation to mobilise the global football family to accelerate the green transition.
