A zero-emissions future for a Finnish city

Nestled in south-western Finland, the city of Tampere is pledging to eliminate its CO2 emissions by 2050 or earlier. To achieve this target, it will boost energy efficiency, encourage people to walk, cycle and use public transport, reduce waste, and monitor the share of renewable energies used, including wind, geothermal and solar.
