Supermarket giant to be transparent about ingredients’ impact on forests

date:  29/07/2022

Supermarket chain Carrefour has committed to aim for net zero by 2050. The company, which operates in more than 30 countries with around 77 million daily customers worldwide, will reduce its carbon emissions by 30% by 2030 compared to 2019 levels. It will also publish information for investors on ingredients that pose a risk to forests (such as timber, palm oil and soy), and promote legal and responsible forest management.
