The companies have all pledged to lower their carbon emissions and take other measures to reduce their impact on the planet. For example, Portuguese electricity provider EDP has pledged to reduce its emissions in line with the 1.5°C Paris Agreement target and committed to reaching net zero by 2050, as well as reducing water pollution and improving water security.
Another company, Swedish electricity provider Vattenfall, has rubber-stamped a science-based emissions reduction in line with the 1.5°C goal and committed to a target of net zero by 2050. It also aims to switch all its vehicles to electric by 2030 and improve water security.
