MSC Science and Research Fund opens call for proposals

The Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) has opened the 2026–27 Science and Research Fund, offering up to £50,000 for strategic and applied research that helps MSC‑certified fisheries reduce impacts on endangered, threatened and protected (ETP) species. The call supports projects that generate practical tools, evidence and solutions with benefits across multiple fisheries, noting that research must be applicable to at least one MSC‑certified fishery and aligned with the theme of "reducing the impacts of fisheries on ETP species." Expressions of Interest were due 18 October 2026, with projects starting between April and June 2027.
