Accelerating the hydrogen economy

The European Commission announced on 18 May 2022, in its communication “REPowerEU Plan”, an additional investment of €200 million available for the Clean Hydrogen Partnership through the Horizon Europe Programme. The funds will help double the number of Hydrogen Valleys in Europe and aim to accelerate the implementation of the hydrogen economy across the EU.

 
207 hydrogen-powered buses operational through JIVE and JIVE2 projects

Road traffic is a major source of greenhouse gases (GHG) and pollutants, which later have a negative impact on health and ecosystem, in particular in densely populated areas. Poor air quality and renewed focus on reducing GHG emissions remain a concern for European urban areas. Hydrogen fuel cell (FC) buses are one of the few options to reduce harmful local emissions and decarbonise public transport.

Five hydrogen-powered buses to go to Mallorca

Solaris won a tender for the delivery of five hydrogen-powered buses in Palma de Mallorca. The contract is worth approximately €4 million and the investment is part of the Green Hysland project.

To ensure a smooth transition to its new name and keep connected with its extended audience, the Clean Hydrogen Partnership underwent a rebranding process. The results of the rebranding were a new logo, corporate visual identity and website.
