We are delighted to bring you the latest CEF Building Block Bulletin. 

This month, OpenPEPPOL, responsible for the development and maintenance of the PEPPOL (Pan-European Public Procurement Online) specifications, has set a date for the transition of AS4 as an optional message exchange protocol to a mandatory solution. The European Commission announced that qualified e-seals are now automatically applied to documents in the Commission's ARES document management system. A clear sign of its commitment to become a digitally transformed, user-focused and data-driven administration.

Last week, the CEF Digital team hosted the Digital Building Blocks for Smart Cities Webinar allowing more than 260 participants to interact with the CEF Digital team and smart city experts. Did you miss it? Watch the recording and slides.

This Info Day will take place on Thursday 7 March 2019. The call for proposal includes grant funding for five of the CEF Building Blocks: eTranslation (€ 4 million), eID (€ 4.5 million), eSignature (€ 0.5 million), eDelivery (€ 1 million), eInvoicing (€ 6.2 million).
