date:  16/08/2022 - 15/09/2022

The Competence Centre on Participatory and Deliberative Democracy is supporting The Directorate-General for Research and Innovation with citizen engagement as part of the EU Missions. In particular, the Makers-in-Residence Programme (MIR) will address the following missions: Climate Neutral Cities; Cancer; Soils; and Oceans.

For its 2nd installment of the programme, the JRC is looking for makers that wish to develop a project, prototype, artwork or exhibition to address the challenges of the four EU Missions. If you're a maker based in an EU country and wish to venture into a journey across science and technology for policy, design and art, the JRC Makers-in-Residence Programme might help you to have an unique experience.

The ideas and prototypes resulting from the residences will be documented and presented to the Missions' respective secretariat; but in addition, they will be shared through social media across the makers' community and be announced at the 4th Festival on Public Participation and Deliberative Democracy this October 2022.

Depending on the projects, some might be suitable to be offered as workshops organised by the JRC Makerspace.

👉 Applications are open between 16th August and 15th September, here.
