Dear Rural Pact community,

We are delighted to share with you the latest information on the Rural Pact conference in Sweden!  

Check out the updated website of the conference to find out about the agenda, registration (applications open until 14th April 2023) and accommodation.  

Entitled "Acting for Rural Areas - Sharing Rural Pact Experiences and Learning for the Future", the event will take place in Uppsala, Sweden, on 3 and 4 May 2023, and will provide a platform for policy-makers and rural actors to meet, discuss, share experiences on how to implement the different elements of the Rural Pact at various levels and learn about tools that can support their actions to achieve the rural vision goals.

Some of the topics will be:

• Best practices and examples on the implementation of the Rural Pact at national level.
• Local Action Groups as Local Pacts.
• Young people’s involvement and participation in the Rural Pact.

Join us and meet up with colleagues from different Member States, politicians, researchers, and representatives of EU institutions. The conference will start on 3 May at 12:30 with study visits to rural businesses in Uppsala County, followed by a social dinner on 3 May evening and an interactive conference on 4 May.
