Rural Business Innovation Award

Three initiatives received awards in the Rural Business Innovation competition organised by the Horizon 2020 project, RUBIZMO. Taina Vie (food), Fiusis (bio-based value chains) and Comana Crafts Village (ecosystem services) won the online votes in their category.
The competition aimed to promote promising rural businesses and inspire further initiatives across European rural areas. Experts from 11 countries screened existing business initiatives, looking at their environmental, economic and social performance as well as their novelty and replicability. On this basis, 18 business initiatives were selected and the public voted online for the most promising example.
