The event will bring together policy-makers, experts, farmers and practitioners to discuss European policy and practice on how to use the current CAP in the most possible green way.

Organised by the European LEADER Association for Rural Development (ELARD), this workshop will discuss CLLD implementation. It will be held within the framework of the European Week of Regions and Cities 2016.

The conference will introduce projects and strategies addressing the issue of climate change. It will discuss opportunities arising from climatic conditions and the adaptation of farming practices.

This practical Seminar will explain topics such as EU State aid provisions in the agricultural and forestry sectors; compatibility and links between agricultural aid schemes, EU rural development Measures and State aid rules.

The Congress ‘Opportunities for European Agriculture: Green growth and Dynamic Markets’ will look into opportunities to deliver a sustainable European agricultural sector in the future.

The workshop will enable exchange among and build capacities of National Rural Networks (NRNs) around specific networking and communication tools used to support implementation of the EIP-AGRI.

This event will present experience and technical knowledge that have been used to provide solutions in mountainous areas to adapt to and mitigate climate change. It will explore solutions both at the policy and practitioners’ levels.

The festival will raise awareness of research & development and practice on topics such as food industry, forestry, natural resource management, cultural landscape and improvement of quality of life in rural areas.
