Twelve young farmers were recognised for setting up successful entrepreneurial projects, using rural development funding at the 2017-2018 edition of the annual ‘New success factors’ competition, organised by the Italian Rural Network support unit.

The award criteria, divided in the three broad categories of efficacy, transferability and sustainability, included technological innovation, international dimension and environmental protection. The top three winners are also the focus of short video documentaries – see a collection of award-winning practices from previous years.
