A recent ENRD Seminar (23 October 2018 – Brussels, Belgium) provided a platform for exchange on the practical implications of designing and drafting the post-2020 Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) Strategic Plans.

The event brought together EU Member State representatives from Rural Development Programme (RDP) Managing Authorities, Paying Agencies, Pillar I of the CAP, and the European Commission to explore the main elements to include and steps in process of preparing the Strategic Plans. These ranged from elaboration of a needs analysis which will underpin setting the specific objectives and targets for each EU Member State’s plan to opportunities when bringing together the two CAP Pillars in a single strategic document.
