The Commission launches a public consultation on possible activities to be included in a proposal for stronger EU cooperation against vaccine preventable diseases, which will be adopted in 2018. Interested individuals and organisations are invited to have their say by 15 March 2018.
A report published today shows a sharp increase in organ donation and transplantation in the EU during the course of the 2009-2015 Action Plan. Between 2008 and 2015, the number of organ donors increased from 12 000 to nearly 15 000 (a 21% increase).
Today, the Commission sent an explanatory statement to Roche informing them about the closure of the infringement procedure taken against them for failure to meet certain obligations related to their marketing authorisations.
These rules clarify the measures that EU countries and economic operators need to enact to put in place the EU-wide tracking and tracing system for tobacco products foreseen under the Tobacco Products Directive (2014/40/EU), which aims to fight illicit tobacco trade (articles 15 and 16).
