On 24 September 2009 a Targeted Scientific Hearing on Use of the Threshold of Toxicological Concern (TTC) Approach for the Safety Assessment of Chemical Substances will take place in Brussels, organised by the Scientific Committee on Consumer Safety (SCCS), the Scientific Committee on Health and Environmental Risks (SCHER) and the Scientific Committee on Emerging and Newly Identified Health Risks (SCENIHR)

The items for the meeting are

• Presentation of the revised report on the "Use of the Threshold of Toxicological Concern (TTC) Approach for the Safety Assessment of Chemical Substances
  
  
• Exchange of views and discussion in the light of the comments received during the public consultation

Participation by invitation only. Participation is limited to those stakeholders who have contributed to the public consultation on this opinion which took place from 24 November 2008 to 9 January 2009.
