This workshop invites participants to learn and explore the findings and recommendations of the recent study on the cross-border rail missing links on the internal EU border.

The session will be open by Michael Cramer (MEP) explaining the importance of closing the missing links.

Representative of DG Regio and DG Move will shortly frame the policy initiative and set the link with EC transport policy.

After presentation of the study by the authors, 2 cases of cross-border regions which have been identified in the study as potentially most beneficial projects will be presented. The workshop will be concluded with the exchange of the views.
