NEW CROSS BORDER RAIL SERVICE BETWEEN ITALY AND SLOVENIA

Sunday 9/09, a new cross border rail service to connect Udine-Trieste and Ljubljana has been inaugurated. This is a long-waited and outstanding result of CROSSMOBY strategic project financed under Italy-Slovenia 2014-2020 Interreg programme.

The direct and daily connection will also include a service to convey bikes allowing also a better connexion with existing cycling routes in the area.

Great news for the local border population and for visitors, including those on bikes !  I know a few people who might be very interested in using this new connection.  I wonder if the European Cyclists Federation has already integrated this information on the relevant routes ?
