"When Medical Emergencies Erase Borders" project continues to work to improve the health emergency sector in the border space. Its aim is to enable Pyrenean cross-border emergency health intervention unregulated to date. Five cross-border bilateral agreements are currently being drawn up between the health services of the border territories (two French regions and four Spanish regions). In addition, negotiations are being established between the medical bodies responsible for the action of health personnel: the medical colleges in Spain and their equivalent in France the "ordres professionnels".

In 2019, the project travelled twice to Brussels with the Pyrenees Working Community (CTP), which is leading the project, and once to Vienna with the Cerdanya Cross-Border Hospital (HTC). In January, the project was presented at the meeting of the B-SOLUTIONS projects in Brussels.

On 19 February, also in Brussels, at an event dedicated to health, the European Commission invited the CTP to present the project at the "Cohesion Policy Investments in Health" meeting organised jointly by DG REGIO and DG SANTE with the participation of the Commissioners of these DGs (Corina Cretu) and (Vytemis Andriukaitis). At this seminar, a memorandum was signed which encourages the project and it partners  to continue and achieve their objectives.

In March, the HTC presented the project at a seminar in Vienna Euregha Thematic Network "Healthcare in cross-border regions".

When Medical Emergencies Erase Borders is the only B-Solutions project that works in the Pyrenees, promoted by the DG REGIO of the European Commission and managed by the Association of European Border Regions.
